Beekeeping in Slovenia boasts several centuries of world-renowned tradition. The most comprehensive presentation of this tradition takes place in the Museum of Apiculture, which is located on the first floor of the Radovljica Mansion. Take a flight to the world of the Carniolan honey bee, become acquainted with the history of beekeeping, and marvel at the variety of beehive panels.

Bees, and the relationship between bees and mankind, have a special place in Slovenian tradition and modernity. Slovenian beekeeping is distinguished by a centuries-old and world-famous tradition. This is also evidenced by the fact that 20th May, the birth date of the Slovenian beekeeper Anton Janša was declared World Bee Day in 2017. The Museum of Apiculture in Radovljica is a specialised museum that has represented the heritage of Slovenian beekeeping since 1959.
